    Thema von laiyongcai92 im Forum F r e i s t i l

July 26 Authentic Chase Edmonds Jersey , UC Irvine, Irvine, CaliforniaLAST YEAR: Coach Sean McVay led one of most remarkable single-season transformations in recent NFL history. Rams ended their streaks of 12 consecutive non-playoff seasons and 13 straight non-winning seasons with rampage to first NFC West title since 2003. Franchise with NFL's worst offense in 2016 became league's highest-scoring team, racking up 478 points after scoring 224 in previous year. Quarterback Jared Goff emerged as solid starter in second season, and running back Todd Gurley was NFL's top offensive player with relentless year. Coordinator Wade Phillips' defense also took quantum leap, with NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald leading makeover into versatile, hard-nosed group. Despite tepid home playoff loss to Atlanta, Rams captured city's attention in second year back in LA, shrugging off competition from relocated Chargers.IMPORTANT ADDITIONS: DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Marcus Peters, CB Aqib Talib, WR Brandin Cooks.IMPORTANT LOSSES: LB Robert Quinn, CB Trumaine Johnson, LB Alec Ogletree, WR Sammy Watkins, WR Tavon Austin, LB Connor Barwin, offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur.CAMP NEEDS: Donald skipped all of last season's training camp, and is likely to hold out again while he attempts to land one of biggest contracts in NFL history. His absence didn't hurt much last season, but every day he waits to begin partnership with Suh is missed opportunity. Rams acquired four elite veteran talents in offseason, and they all must connect with teammates quickly. Defense must adjust to styles of Talib and Peters, its two new aggressive cornerbacks. New starting middle linebacker must be chosen after Ogletree's cap-related departure, with Cory Littleton likely to get first shot. Goff and Cooks must build chemistry to keep McVay's high-octane passing game in top form.EXPECTATIONS: Rams all-in on pursuit of first Super Bowl berth since the 2001 season, and have talent to get there. They've brought back almost every important part of last season's excellent offense http://www.arizonacardinalsteamonline.com/phil-dawson-jersey , and added three game-breaking stars to defense. Even if they still haven't written gargantuan check necessary to make Donald happy, Rams intend to contend for championships for next several years, starting now.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (9-7)OPEN CAMP: July 26, Virginia Mason Athletic Center, Renton, WashingtonLAST YEAR: Seattle missed postseason for first time since 2011 and injuries and depth issues caught up with aging core. Once-vaunted defense took significant step back and offense that had been best at running was downright dreadful. Seattle had one rushing TD last year by running back and QB Russell Wilson again spent large portions running for his safety. That Seattle won nine games and was in playoff conversation into late December was remarkable.IMPORTANT ADDITIONS: Rookie RB Rashaad Penny, WR Brandon Marshall, WR Jaron Brown, TE Ed Dickson, OL D.J. Fluker, DT Tom Johnson, DT Shamar Stephen, rookie DE Rasheem Green, LB Barkevious Mingo, rookie LB/DB Shaquem Griffin, K Sebastian Janikowski, K Jason Myers, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, offensive line coach Mike Solari, defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr.IMPORTANT LOSSES: RB Eddie Lacy, WR Paul Richardson, TE Jimmy Graham, OL Luke Joeckel, DE Cliff Avril http://www.arizonacardinalsteamonline.com/corey-peters-jersey , DE Michael Bennett, SS Kam Chancellor, CB Richard Sherman, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, offensive line coach Tom Cable, defensive coordinator Kris Richard.CAMP NEEDS: Happy Earl Thomas is good place to start. Thomas held out from offseason activities and has said he will not take part in team functions until contract situation is addressed. Thomas' deal expires after season. Who will be Seattle's No. 2 wide receiver? Tyler Lockett, now fully healthy after broken leg suffered late in 2016? Veteran Brandon Marshall after injury-filled 2017? Seattle must also find pass rush after departures of Bennett and Avril. Frank Clark can't do it alone.EXPECTATIONS: Different than they've been since first couple years of Pete Carroll's tenure. Seattle clearly decided to refresh locker room this offseason. Gone are big personalities of Sherman and Bennett. Also gone: lots of talent, a void that may not be filled immediately. There is optimism about Seattle's rookie class, but for first time since 2013 Seahawks don't go into season as one of favorite.ARIZONA CARDINALS (8-8)OPEN CAMP: July 27, Glendale, ArizonaLAST YEAR: Cardinals dealt with myriad injuries but managed to pull out win in Seattle in finale to finish 8-8 in coach Bruce Arians' final game. He announced retirement next day. Arians finished with franchise-record 50 wins, but his teams failed to make playoffs in last two years. QB Carson Palmer, after another season shortened by injury, also announced retirement. 8-8 record came despite loss of standout running back David Johnson when he dislocated wrist in opener. It was another standout year for Larry Fitzgerald: In 14th NFL season, he finished second in league in receptions with 102. Outside linebacker Chandler Jones led NFL with 16 陆 sacks.IMPORTANT ADDITIONS: Coach Steve Wilks, QB Sam Bradford, QB Josh Rosen, QB Mike Glennon, RT Andre Smith, RG Justin Pugh, WR Brice Butler, WR Christian Kirk, CB Jamar Taylor, RB Chase Edmonds.IMPORTANT LOSSES: Arians http://www.arizonacardinalsteamonline.com/benson-mayowa-jersey , Palmer, S Tyrann Mathieu, WR John Brown, WR Jaron Brown, QB Drew Stanton, OT Jared Veldheer, CB Justin Bethel, OG Alex Boone, DT Frostee Rucker, ILB Karlos Dansby, DT Josh Mauro, TE Troy Niklas, OT Earl Watford.CAMP NEEDS: With new coach and new systems on offense, defense and special teams, plenty for Cardinals to work on once they don pads. While most practices will be held in air conditioned comfort of University of Phoenix Stadium, Wilks says he wants some workouts outside in sweltering Arizona summer heat. There will be several important position battles, including for No. 2 receiver spot behind Fitzgerald. There's also intrigue at quarterback, where Rosen has drawn praise as Cardinals bring along Bradford slowly after last year's knee injury. Rosen will try to unseat Glennon as backup. Wilks and new offensive coordinator Mike McCoy want much of offense built around dynamic Johnson, who led NFL in yards from scrimmage two seasons ago. But Johnson skipped mandatory minicamp in contract dispute. Wilks also has cut camp shorter, ending it on Aug. 13 — just after second preseason game — and moving back to practice facilities.EXPECTATIONS: Outside of Cardinals organization, expectations aren't high. Many early forecasts have them finishing last in the NFC West. But Wilks has impressed players with his system and he says team has cornerstones of great players — Fitzgerald, Patrick Peterson, Johnson and maybe Bradford — to build winning team. Preseason games will be particularly interesting as Rosen is likely to get extensive playing time.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (6-10)OPEN CAMP: July 25, Santa Clara Womens David Johnson Jersey , CaliforniaLAST YEAR: Coach Kyle Shanahan's first year with San Francisco was tale of two seasons. 49ers lost first nine games — including record five straight by three points or fewer. But San Francisco posted most dramatic in-season turnaround in NFL history by winning final five games after putting midseason acquisition Jimmy Garoppolo in as starting quarterback.IMPORTANT ADDITIONS: CB Richard Sherman, RB Jerick McKinnon, C Weston Richburg, LB Jeremiah Attaochu, G Jonathan Cooper, LB Korey Toomer, T Mike McGlinchey, WR Dante Pettis, LB Fred Warner.IMPORTANT LOSSES: RB Carlos Hyde, S Eric Reid, CB Dontae Johnson, DE Elvis Dumervil, C Daniel Kilgore, T Trent Brown, G Brandon Fusco,CAMP NEEDS: Biggest question marks are at cornerback and pass rusher. Sherman was signed after being cut loose by Seattle and is working his way back from Achilles tendon injury. He is no longer elite shutdown cornerback but is being counted on by Niners. Ahkello Witherspoon showed promise as rookie but will need to step up if San Francisco will have top-flight defense. 49ers were unable to make major upgrades to pass rush in free agency or draft and are hoping for better production from last year's first-round pick Solomon Thomas, as well as free-agent acquisition Attaochu.EXPECTATIONS: Full season of Garoppolo has created high hopes in San Francisco for franchise that has second-fewest wins in NFL in past three seasons with 13. Garoppolo is undefeated in seven starts as pro and earned $137.5 million contract in offseason based on his strong play after trade from New England. Garoppolo won't be able to get San Francisco back to playoffs for first time since 2013 on his own. He will need to find go-to receiver, hope McKinnon thrives as featured back, and defense led by emerging star tackle DeForest Buckner improves.Arizona Cardinals 2018 depth chart after initial 53 man roster Introducing the first depth chart of the 2018 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals. While this will likely be different by the time the Arizona Cardinals take the field against the Washington Redskins on September 9th, it is a great look at the team so far. Here is the first Cardinals roster of 2018.Starters marked with (*)Quarterbacks (3)Sam Bradford*Josh RosenMike GlennonRunning Backs (3)David Johnson*Chase EdmondsT.J. The 33-year-old running back had his first practice with the Redskins on Tuesday Cheap Custom Arizona Cardinals Jerseys , a day after signing a one-year deal with Washington."I can give a lot. I really believe that," Peterson said following his first practice. "I feel like the sky is the limit."Injuries and opportunity limited Peterson to 13 games over the past two seasons. He averaged 3.4 yards per carry in 10 games last season with the Saints and Cardinals.Peterson remained on the sideline throughout the offseason waiting for the next opportunity, a scenario he admitted was "rough."His workouts continued. Peterson was in his native Oklahoma when his agent said the Redskins wanted a look. The three-time NFL rushing champion was ready."I know what I have left in the tank," Peterson said.Despite his career achievements, Peterson didn't big-time the workout opportunity. He volunteered to join other free-agent options in various drills."He's actually a physical freak," Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. "Some of the backs we had in here were huffing and puffing, keeling over. He was standing straight up. He could have gone for another two hours."The Redskins decided they couldn't go forward with their limited options at running back for the final two preseason games and possibly their Week 1 opener at Arizona on Sept. 9.Washington, 28th in yards rushing last season, addressed the concern by selecting running back Derrius Guice in the second round of the draft. The LSU product's rookie year ended with a season-ending knee injury in the first preseason game against New England. The Redskins lost Samaje Perine and Byron Marshall for an extended period of time as both suffered ankle injuries in Thursday's preseason win over the New York Jets. After waiving undrafted free agent Martez Carter with an injury designation, the Redskins had only three healthy running backs available. One of them, Chris Thompson, has yet to play in the preseason following last season's broken fibula.Robert Kelley, a 2016 undrafted free agent who emerged as Washington's No. 1 running back during his rookie year and started 2017 on top of the depth chart, remains in the starting mix. Kapri Bibbs offers some depth. Adding Peterson and De'Veon Smith provides more. What happens going forward remains unsettled."We haven't really gotten into detail, but obviously they brought me in here for a reason. I'm just going to play my role Arizona Cardinals T-Shirt , whatever it is," said Peterson, whose is three years removed from rushing for 1,485 yards with the Vikings. He finished with 529 yards last season.Last season's numbers provided data for doubters who believe Peterson's difference-making days are done."It shows me people don't really know about football," Peterson said of the naysayers. "When people say, (3.4) yards per carry, there's a lot that contributes to that as well. I just brush it off and continue to work."That work began Tuesday with the Redskins."It's his first practice. He did a great job today," said Gruden, who stated he hoped to get Peterson some work in Friday's preseason game against Denver."You've got a Redskins jersey on. You're here to compete and make the squad. It's no different with (Adrian). We'll just see how he does day after day."Chase Edmonds deserved opportunity, but David Johnson should have been on the field Who knows how this plays out over the course of a season, over the course of a coaching career, a player’s career or anything.Hell, this could be a speed bump on the path to the Hall of Fame for Chase Edmonds.Yet, the second guessing was immediate and just. With the Arizona Cardinals driving, coming out of the two minute warning www.cardinalscheapshops.com , with the season in the balance, Josh Rosen getting his first work in the NFL regular season, and third and two, the Cardinals Mike McCoy dialed up a counter run to left side of the line, with Justin Pugh and Ricky Seals-Jones pulling and Chase Edmonds in the backfield. It was the moment and the Cardinals new $39 million man was on the bench. It doesn’t mean that Chase Edmonds getting the ball was the wrong play, but David Johnson not being on the field shows the shortsightedness of McCoy and the fact he does not understand the new NFL.Just because you want to call a play for one playmaker doesn’t mean you have the other off the field.Putting Chase Edmonds in a situation like that is not a bad decision, in fact, it is something we saw last season with the New Orleans Saints and Alvin Kamara. The issue was more, the Saints wanted to have Kamara and Ingram on te field to make defenses account for both of them.McCoy has done that zero times on the season. Not once. His inability to deploy an attack in the modern NFL, with multiple players that can do similar things.Instead, McCoy puts Edmonds in a place to win the game, while sitting his best player, not even using him as a decoy.Johnson and Edmonds can coexist, maybe McCoy can figure that out as well.

Week 1 was a rough one for the Redbirds Cheap Custom Arizona Cardinals Jerseys , and it doesn’t get any easier in Week 2 with a trip to L.A. to take on the new power in the NFC West. After what happened last week at State Farm Stadium, it should come as no surprise that the Redbirds are big underdogs against the Rams on Sunday.I think most Cardinals fans already have this game written off as a loss, but is an upset possible? Well, the Raiders showed it just might be on Monday night. Yes, the final score was ugly, but remember that the Raiders were actually up at the half and that it was a one-score game until about halfway through the 4th quarter. So if Chucky and the Raiders can hang with the Rams, who’s to say Wilks and the Redbirds can’t? After watching a bit of Raiders/Rams tape (and trying my hardest to forget what I saw of the Cardinals last week), I started to see what the blueprint for an upset in L.A. might look like. Let’s go through the offense, defense, and special teams and see what would need to go right to get this team a monumental divisional win.Passing OffenseThe Raiders obviously had success throwing to the TE (Jared Cook went 9/180), but had almost no success throwing to anyone else. Derek Carr had 18 completions for 103 yards to his backs and receivers—good for a putrid 5.7 YPA. This鈥?does not bode well for the Cardinals. Outside of Larry Fitzgerald, the Redbirds have an even weaker WR corps than the Raiders, and Ricky Seals-Jones is a poor man’s Jared Cook on his best day (and Jared Cook is not a rich man in this metaphor). He can’t be counted on for anything close to the numbers that Cook put up, but I do imagine he’ll be more involved in the game plan than last week.Carr did have 13 completions to his backs though. While most were of the checkdown variety, there may be some easy yards there for David Johnson if the Cardinals’ O-line has trouble with the Rams’ pass rush (and they will). Speaking of the O-line, dumb penalties and sacks will have to be kept to a bare minimum. All that said, an upset in the Coliseum likely won’t be powered by the arm of Sam Bradford. The Rams want you to throw so their D-line can pin their ears back and rush the QB and their talented secondary can get their hands on the ball. If Bradford is throwing a bunch on Sunday, I don’t like our chances—either it’ll be because we fell behind multiple scores again or Mike McCoy truly doesn’t know the talent on this roster. The key will be lots of safe throws to Fitz (although most throws to Fitz are safe), a few seam throws to RSJ, and plenty of action in the passing game for DJ. High-percentage passes, rather than going for big plays, and, obviously, no picks is the recipe here.Key Stat: 30 attempts. If Bradford has many more attempts than this www.officialcardinalsfootballstore.com , something will have gone awry.Rushing OffenseThe Raiders RBs had a moderately successful day running the ball on Monday night—20 carries for 85 yards, good for a 4.3 YPC. Not world-beating numbers, but generally effective. But they went away from the run in the second half, getting pass happy even though the game was still close until the final 10 minutes. They attempted only 5 runs in the second half before a garbage-time drive when the outcome had already been decided.Sound familiar? It’s basically the script the Cardinals followed last week. The team can’t afford to do the same thing this week. Go down a touchdown? Keep running the ball. Two touchdowns? Keep running the ball. Three touchdowns? Keep DJ involved. That’s just what you have to do when your best player is a running back. Now, I’m not saying to pound the ball futilely into Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, and Co. over and over, but our game plan has to be built around David Johnson. He can’t touch the ball just 14 times again. The only way we win this game is if DJ has a big day—and you know he’s capable of doing it.Key Stat: 25 touches. If we can get DJ at least this many touches, we’ll have a shot. Closer to 30 would be even better.Passing DefenseThis phase of the game is, to me, the key to the upset. If we can contain Jared Goff (imagine saying that 2 years ago鈥?, we’ll be right there in it. But this is a tough, innovating passing attack to stop, one that uses everything from delayed HB screens and WR bubble screens to designed rollouts and deep bombs off play-action. The Raiders weren’t really able to stop any of it as Goff put up an efficient 74.2 QBR.Our secondary is much stronger than theirs, however. Our CBs generally held Washington’s WRs in check—but then, Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp, and Robert Woods are much more talented than Washington’s WR corps. Cooks especially gave the Raiders fits—5 receptions for 87 yards and two huge PI penalties (totaling another 87 yards). I expect Patrick Peterson and Ben茅 Benwikere to do their jobs and lock down two of those guys when they throw downfield (and hopefully pick off at least one pass), while the third figures to have a big day against likely weak link Jamar Taylor. As long as Chandler Jones and the pass rush can get home on some of the long-developing pass plays they run, we can live with Taylor getting beat once or twice. But what worries me is stopping their horizontal passing game, especially when they throw to their RBs. Washington’s less-talented RBs absolutely gouged us last week, and if we’re going to pull off the upset, we’re going to need to contain Todd Gurley and Malcolm Brown in the passing game. We really need guys like Tre Boston and Deone Bucannon (or, potentially Cheap Arizona Cardinals T-Shirt , Haason Reddick) to step up this week. Hopefully Wilks and Holcomb coached these guys up in practice this week.Key Stat: 0 pass interference penalties. If they beat us through the air once or twice, fine, but to win, we can’t give away yards.Rushing DefenseThis phase is fairly simple. Gurley is going to get his. But they key is making him work for his yards. That means setting the edge and not letting him break for big gains off tackle, as team speed on defense has been an issue since preseason. We need our OLBs and CBs (especially Peterson) to funnel everything back to our DTs and Josh Bynes (a bright spot last week) in the middle of the field, forcing Gurley to grind out yards up the middle. And, needless to say, wrapping up when you get your arms on him is a must—no missed tackles.Key Stat:4.0 YPC. If we can hold the Rams under this number, the defense will have done its job. We were actually close last week against Washington, but Chris Thompson really hurt us on his 5 carries. Hopefully Brown doesn’t do the same this week in a similar role.Special TeamsIf we manage to pull off the upset, special teams will have played a huge role. Teams were a strength last week, but the Rams are even stronger in this phase than we are on our best day with the leg strength and accuracy of Greg Zuerlein and Johnny Hekker, as well as dangerous return man Pharoh Cooper (update: Cooper was put on the IR). We’ll have to hope we can at least play to a draw in this phase, with Phil Dawson hitting all his kicks, Andy Lee flipping the field, and Christian Kirk breaking another big return—because you know their Rams counterparts are going to do just that. We’ll more than likely need one more big play than them—a blocked kick, a muffed punt recovery, a return into plus territory. Thankfully, this phase looks much improved from years past for the Redbirds.Key Stat: 0 missed FGs. If we have a chance to come away with points, we can’t leave empty-handed.Final ThoughtsThe odds are long, but that doesn’t mean we have to automatically write this game off as a loss. I mean, no one saw the Bucs beating the Saints last week, right? But a lot of things will have to go our way. Here’s the TL;DR version:Bradford needs to play smart, efficient football. He doesn’t need to put up big numbers for us to pull off this upset. We do need DJ to put up big numbers though—something like 150+ total yards on 25+ touches. The offensive gameplan has to go through him.Our CBs need to contain their downfield passing game without committing any big penalties Cheap Arizona Cardinals Hats , while hoping our LBs/safeties can limit the damage in the short passing game. Make them dink and dunk.Todd Gurley is going to get his yards, but we need to make him work for them. Keeping him at or under 4.0 YPC is key. Finally, we need to play to a draw on special teams—and have one big play go our way.If we’re talking about a massive Redbirds upset on Monday morning, it’ll be because all or most of these things happened. But if we’re talking about Bradford’s inefficiency, a porous run D, and penalties again, there’s no doubt this team will be heading home 0-2 and in need of some serious soul searching.Arizona Cardinals offense cannot get on track in loss to Washington Redskins Sam Bradford’s first game for the Arizona Cardinals was, well the worst of his career when it comes to season openers.Going back through every season of his career, this Cardinals game was actually one of the worst performances of his career. In Bradford’s first game of the season he struggled to find a rhythm and any continuity, yet it was not all on Bradford.David Johnson was his normal self, carrying nine times for 37 yards and touchdown, but the Cardinals inability to do anything in their first two series, combined with the Cardinals defense not being able to get stops early in the game, meant that “leaning on the run” didn’t get to manifest in game one.It also shows the flaw in the logic of leaning on the run.The Cardinals two running backs combined for 13 carries for 61 yards, good for a 4.7 yards per carry average.Yet, even with a productive running game, the Cardinals offense was completely impotent for three plus quarters. They have no second option emerging opposite Larry Fitzgerald, although Ricky Seals-Jones at times looked good. The problem with Seals-Jones, along with Christian Kirk and Chad Williams, is that there has never been a shred of consistency from any of these players (not that it is Kirk’s fault). This is not uncommon for a team experiencing a new quarterback, offensive coordinator and a brand new system for even the returning players. The good thing... It was game one.The bad thing... this was one of the worst performances from a healthy Arizona Cardinals offense I can remember.Let’s hope it was just a blip on the radar.

  • Raiders week four snap counts vs BrownsDatum09.11.2018 04:21

Marquel Lee has ‘hot hand’ Rodney Hudson Jersey , again sees considerably more snaps than Derrick Johnson Last week in Miami Marquel Lee saw twice as many snaps (28) as Derrick Johnson (14) on defense. It was the first time this season Lee had seen the field more than Johnson. And it turned out to be the start of something.Against the Browns, Lee got the start and saw 65 snaps (79%) to Johnson’s 22. That’s nearly three times as many snaps for Lee.“Marquel Lee is playing pretty good for us. He’s earning the right to play,” Gruden said Monday. “Sometimes it’s the situation, sometimes it’s just going with the hot hand. But we’re going to use all our linebackers here in the coming weeks.”Lee’s 142 snaps is second among linebackers behind only Tahir Whitehead. With Lee’s 43 more snaps in this game, he has now seen 24 more snaps on the season than Johnson (118). And he has done well in those snaps for the most part. The 2017 5th round pick tied for second on the team with 9 combined tackles in this game (3 solo) and is 16 combined tackles (6 solo) is tied for fourth on the team — three more than Johnson.Week 4 snap counts..Offense.Defense.Special tms...Offense.Defense.Special tms.Follow @LeviDamienSilver Mining 8/29: What value could Raiders receive if they did trade Khalil Mack? After chipping away at this series throughout the offseason http://www.raiderscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-rashaan-melvin-jersey , the season is upon us so it’s time to wrap it up. Based on a position by position analysis here is how I see the teams in the AFC West stacking up based on talent.Best offense - Tie: Oakland Raiders/San Diego ChargersI looked at these two teams from every angle I could find in order to break the tie and I couldn’t find a separating factor. The Chargers have the best quarterback in the division in Philip Rivers, but Derek Carr is next in line for the Raiders. At tackle, the two teams are at opposite ends of the spectrum, with the Chargers duo of Russell Okung and Joe Barksdale bookending a group that gave up the fewest sacks in the league last year (18). The former Raider Barksdale didn’t give up a sack at all. Meanwhile the Raiders tackle situation is the most suspect in the division with rookie Kolton Miller handed the responsibility at left tackle and Donald Penn switching sides for the first time in his long career. Where the Raiders make up some ground is with their elite interior line trio of Kelechi Osemele, Rodney Hudson, and Gabe Jackson. Both offenses also benefit from having offensive minded head coaches.Second runner-up - Kansas City ChiefsWhile the Chiefs are starting a new young quarterback which brings a lot of uncertainties, he will have a couple of elite weapons at his disposal. The Chiefs have the division’s best running back in Kareem Hunt and best tight end in Travis Kelce. They also added wide receiver Sammy Watkins to go along with the lethal weapon that is Tyreek Hill. As for the line, they aren’t all-world, but they may have the most balance of any team in the division, with solid though not elite talent across much of the line.Dead last - Denver BroncosI don’t want to underestimate Case Keenum too much. He did some good things with the Vikings last season. He just isn’t on the level of Rivers and Carr and must prove it for more than just one season. What he does have is the division’s top receiving corps. Courtland Sutton is a fantastic young talent who joins Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. After that, there’s nothing special about the Broncos offense. They are lackluster at running back and tight end and along the line as well. Though guard Ronald Leary and center Matt Paradis are very good, the rest of the line is a bit of a question mark.Best Defense - Denver BroncosFrom worst to first when you switch to the other side of the ball. Even with Aqib Talib gone, they still have the best cornerbacks in the division led by Chris Harris Jr and Bradley Roby. They also have the best nose tackle in Domata Peko. The rest of their defensive line and linebackers are also very good including some guy named Von Miller who is joined by fifth overall pick Bradley Chubb which has the potential to give the Broncos another elite pass rush. Just what we need. Runner-up - Kansas City ChiefsThey have the best defensive interior, best linebackers Cheap Jordy Nelson Jersey , and best safeties in the division. All that has them not far behind the Broncos as the division’s top defense. If they had more than just Justin Houston to rush the passer, that would make all the difference. But they do have a solid interior duo of Chris Jones and Allen Bailey. They were confident enough in Reggie Ragland and Anthony Hitchens to let Derrick Johnson walk. And of course there’s always Eric Berry patrolling the deep part of the field.Second runner-up - San Diego ChargersWhat the Chargers have is the best pass rushing duo in the division. And that’s saying a lot. Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa are a nightmare around the edges for opposing offenses. What the Chargers don’t have is much else. They may have challenged the Broncos for the best corners, but then they lost Jason Verrett (again) to injury. But Casey Hayward is no slouch. Also pairing rookie safety Derwin James with Jahleel Addae at the safety spot could be quite good.Dead last - Oakland RaidersThis is a no-doubter. Every part of the Raiders defensive unit is suspect. There was one part that was elite. That was the pass rush. But with the removal of Khalil Mack, that pass rush threat went from rivaling the Chargers and Broncos to the worst in the division. They don’t have a single position on the defense that is the best in the division. The linebackers feature a 35-year-old castoff and a journeyman backup, but Tahir Whitehead could be good. They appear to have upgraded the cornerbacks with Gareon Conley and Rashaan Melvin as the starters, but will be without third corner Daryl Worley for the first four games. And it’s possible the two interior defensive linemen PJ Hall and Maurice Hurst could produce early on. Hard to count on rookies to make the difference right away though. Most talented overall1. Kansas City ChiefsThis actually surprised me. But in the end, the Chiefs do what they often do — show themselves to be one of the more balanced teams in the division. And if Pat Mahomes can turn his obvious physical talent into playmaking on the field, they could have something. The Chiefs have hung around for years, mainly because Any Reid is a good coach. But they always seem to choke when it counts. The talent seems to be there, though.2. San Diego ChargersThe offseason favorite to win the division title. They are often an offseason favorite and then get snakebit by injuries or terrible coaching. Anthony Lynn led this team to a 9-7 record in his first season as head coach. With a little bit of luck going his way, they could make another step forward.3. Denver BroncosThey stuck with Case Keenum instead of going after a QB in the draft. That may or may not have been the right decision, but what a draft they had. Getting the top pass rusher in Bradley Chubb at five, one of the best receivers in this draft in Courtland Sutton in the second, Oregon All-time leading rusher Royce Freeman in the third and outstanding slot receiver talent Daesean Hamilton in the third. It’s hard to predict how rookies will perform Cheap Derek Carrier Jersey , so they may not make a lot of noise right away. But with the talent they still have on this defense, if they could get some production from the offense, they could make a push. Though the jury is still very much out on if Vance Joseph is the coach who can make that happen.4. Oakland RaidersThis team is bipolar. They have some great talent on the offense along with an offensive minded head coach in Jon Gruden. Though the tackle situation threatens to be a major issue and the wide receiver corps is not nearly as deep or talented as it seemed back in May. But overall, a good unit returning most starters. Then they have a defense that could end up having just one position with a returning starter — Justin Ellis. Bruce Irvin also returns, having switched to defensive end from outside linebacker. And he will now be without his All-World pass rushing partner, Khalil Mack. The two of them were just about all the defense had going for it the past couple years. Now there’s just serious questions. Bringing in Paul Guenther as the defensive coordinator will help, but he’s only going to be as good as the personnel he has to work with. And that ain’t a whole lot.Follow @LeviDamienJon Gruden says pump your brakes, Raiders have ‘long way to go’ After the first three weeks of the regular season ended in disappointment with poor second-half performances, the Oakland Raiders and Jon Gruden finally notched their first win of the season scoring 31 of their 45 points in the second half and overtime.Derek Carr did have two interceptions but lit up the Cleveland Browns’s secondary with 437 yards and four touchdowns. Marshawn Lynch had 130 yards along with Amari Cooper and Jared Cook each eclipsing the century mark.On defense, the unit allowed too many points against a rookie quarterback in Baker Mayfield and gave up big plays to Nick Chubb, however, made up for it with two sacks, four turnovers and a touchdown. It was an exciting day for Raider Nation to see the offense clicking against a very good Cleveland defense and the Oakland defense forcing turnovers. But the Raiders came awfully close to losing the game as Carr looked to have fumbled the game away if not for the refs blowing the whistle prematurely.Rightfully so, Gruden wants to pump the breaks after the season’s first victory. “We have a long way to go Cheap Gareon Conley Jersey ,” Gruden said after the game. “Obviously there are things we have to do better. Its fun to win, we felt that we had a couple of victories slip away, but to close out the first quarter of the season with a win. At least we got paid, at least we made something. We have a long way to go though. We have to get back to work.”The Raiders have played good football during stretches in all four games. Just because the result was different doesn’t mean there isn’t more work to be done.“We haven’t fixed anything yet,” Gruden said. “We have a lot of things we have to get better at. I think it is pretty obvious. We played some good football for stints. We played good football in Miami. We played some good football against the Rams. We had some really good tape against Denver, but we have tape that needs to be fixed. That’s the same thing that I think we will see today. We have some guys that are really eager to work, we have good leadership and we going to continue to do it. It was really fun to score and win a game and to get that monkey off our back.”Despite putting up 45 points, the offensive execution wasn’t close to perfect. For example, the miscommunication near the end of the fourth quarter between Carr and Cooper could have easily cost the team the game. “[I] want to throw up because that’s always on me,” Carr said. “I just got to be better for Coop. You just feel sick that it didn’t work out. You just go to the sideline and pray that you get the ball back. I think our stadium emptied out about half way after that. The people that stayed got a fun show.”The offense also had six drops including this one by Martavis Bryant which cost the team an easy touchdown. Jordy Nelson, who was sure-handed unlike Bryant securing a two-point conversion to force overtime, was excited about the win, but knows the team needs to get back to work and get ready for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. “We’ll still come in, correct the things that we need to correct Youth Donald Penn Jersey , be proud of the things that we did well, and then go to work on Wednesday because Sunday will be right around the corner again,” Nelson said. “It’s week by week and this win will be fun tonight, but it’s not going to do anything for us next week.”On Monday, Gruden’s message remained the same; there is a lot of work to be done and the celebration is short lived with the Raiders headed for Los Angeles to face a tough Chargers team next Sunday.“You start seeing the Chargers, you see Philip Rivers,” Gruden said. “It’s hard to rejoice in your victories for very long. We have a real challenge. [Melvin] Ingram is unbelievable. Derwin James is a good player. [Joey] Bosa they tell me is coming back, so we have work to do.”The win on Sunday was nice, but it won’t mean a thing if the Raiders don’t stack another one on top Sunday. Gruden is right, on to the Chargers.

After Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams Authentic Leon Hall Jersey , the NFL doesn’t think much of Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders. The 33-13 score indicates one of the best teams in the NFL blew out one of the worst. But if you saw the game, it was more of a sudden collapse by one of the least likely players the Raiders could get that from. The Raiders are now rebuilding on defense so Gruden planned to control and win the game on offense. The offensive game plan was flawless with a mixture of runs to running back Marshawn Lynch and passes to tight end Jared Cook. And Carr executed it well, completing 20-24 passes for 199 yards and what should have been a touchdown in the first half. But Carr, who has thrown so many dimes in the red zone over his career, started his collapse at the end of the first half in the red zone Monday night. With 4:51 left in the half, moving the ball at will and on the Rams’ 21 yard line, he threw the ball woefully short and it was picked off. The momentum would have been with the Raiders and they might have made a stop had they scored a TD but the Rams rode the momentum to a field goal, making the score 13-10. The halftime score could very well have been 20-7 instead of 13-10.The defense that just lost super-duper star edge rusher Khalil Mack wasn’t too bad at the time either. Then came the second half and the Rams cashed in their first drive of the second half with a field goal to tie the game. The Raiders then went three and out with Carr getting sacked on his own 13 yard line and punter Johnny Townsend picks a bad time for a 35-yard punt. So the Rams take advantage of the short field and go up 20-13.A little later, down 23-13, Carr seemed to be pulling himself back together and completed a 32-yard pass to Cook to get the Raiders to the Rams 40. Then Carr inexplicably threw floatertoward his left sideline that was picked off. The Rams then turned that into a field goal and the score was 26-13. Then of course Youth Johnny Townsend Jersey , there’s the pick-6 Carr threw the next time he had the ball to make the score 33-13. Everyone around the league is talking about how bad the Raiders are but they were in the game against one of the best teams in the NFL on paper. The Rams may be better but it wasn’t about the better pulling away in the second half after taking the Raiders’ best punch. The Raiders never had a problem moving the ball on offense and even without Mack, the defense was pretty good until they had to go back and defend short fields on no rest due to the turnovers. Carr actually picked the best defense the Raiders will face this year apart when he didn’t turn the ball over, going 29-40 for 303 yards with no TDs and three picks, including a pick-6. If not for a “bad throw”, “bad decision” and “miscommunication”, the NFL would be saying great things about the Carr and Raiders. Monday night’s collapse wasn’t even a case of the Rams making adjustments. They didn’t do much different in the second half than the first so Carr was not confused. “To be honest, we did some of the same stuff but we executed better in the first half. They tried to do some things a little bit different, but nothing that mattered,” Carr said after the game. “They tried to put different looks for the run game, different looks for the pass game http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jared-cook-jersey , but nothing that we didn’t prepare for. Some of the things that we did are going to be overlooked by the bad stuff and it sucks. That’s tough. We did a lot of good things, the score doesn’t really dictate what the game was. It’s just a bad feeling. It just sucks, man.”It got ugly from the end of the first half to the end of the game and the final score was bad. But Raiders went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the NFL with Carr of all people giving it away. So there’s no reason for anyone to believe they are that bad of team. Gruden and Carr will learn from this and things will need to get better in a hurry.Yeah, like next week in Denver. Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake has joined other players in complaining about the NFL's officiating emphasis to discourage quarterback hits."It's sad," Wake said Friday. "I don't think it's a secret that the league is concerned about player safety. It just depends on what players."Wake's teammate, end William Hayes, suffered a season-ending knee injury last week and said his foot caught in the turf as he was trying to avoid landing on Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.Wake said the league should acknowledge that when it comes to player safety, quarterbacks — including Miami's Ryan Tannehill — come first."Just tell me, 'Listen, we're going to protect quarterbacks differently Marshawn Lynch Jersey ," Wake said. "Just be blunt about it. Not 'we care about your safety,' because you don't care about my safety. You care about some people's safety. My knees mean just as much to my family and my ability to play and provide just as Tannehill's does. I can't understand that his are more important than mine."Rulings on quarterback hits have been a source of debate through the first three weeks of the NFL season, with players complaining about a lack of consistency on such calls.Wake described steps to make football safer an "uphill battle.""I think the crowd likes the violence," he said. "You see plays on TV, you see big hits, you see the oooh's and the ahh's, and they like that. That's what I'm sure helps drive ratings."

Week 3 is here Youth Matt Bryant Jersey , and the Atlanta Falcons (1-1) have a very important early season division game against the hated New Orleans Saints (1-1) coming up on Sunday. A win here would be big confidence booster for an Atlanta team that is weathering some injuries, and put the Saints at 0-2 in the division (with both of those losses being home games).Needless to say, this is a big game for the Falcons. Plus, it’s always nice to beat the Saints. Read on for some of the most interesting Falcons’ players to watch in Week 3.Duke Riley and Foye OluokunLet’s be honest here: Duke Riley had a bad game in Week 2. Could he show improvement over the course of the season? Absolutely. But I think it’s time to see what the Falcons have in Foye Oluokun—the sixth-round rookie LB from Yale. Oluokun had a pretty good preseason, getting plenty of snaps with the starters sitting. He looked solid in both run defense and coverage, and made several plays on special teams.I expect Oluokun and Riley to split snaps against the Saints. Riley deserves a chance to grow and develop, and Oluokun deserves a chance to prove whether or not he’s the better option right now. Based on what we’ve seen so far, I think Oluokun might be the best candidate the Falcons have to play next to De’Vondre Campbell in the nickel defense. He’s a very smart player with great athletic gifts—the perfect piece for Dan Quinn to mold. Let’s see what he can do on the field against New Orleans.Vic Beasley, Steven Means, and Brooks ReedWe’ve received a lot of conflicting and confusing messages from the team regarding Takkarist McKinley’s practice status today, but the crux of the story is this: both he and Derrick Shelby are almost certainly out for Sunday’s game. That means it’s up to Vic Beasley—who’s been mostly invisible in 2018—Brooks Reed, and newcomer Steven Means. Beasley simply must step up this week against the Saints. Brooks Reed has been a serviceable rotational player in the past. Can he make enough plays against New Orleans? Steven Means is the wild-card: he looked very impressive in the preseason for the Eagles. Can he translate that into regular season production? They certainly won’t have an easy go of it against the likes of Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk. If this team can’t pressure Drew Brees at least somewhat effectively http://www.falconsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-desmond-trufant-jersey , they’ll be depending on the offense to score 30+ points to win on Sunday.Matt Ryan and Steve SarkisianSpeaking of the offense, much will depend upon the performance of Matt Ryan and Steve Sarkisian against New Orleans. Ryan may need to be even sharper than he was against the Panthers in Week 2 to outduel Drew Brees and the Saints. At this point in the year, the New Orleans’ defense looks exploitable. Can Steve Sarkisian draw up another creative gameplan to attack their weaknesses?Expect Ryan and Sark to have a good game on Sunday. The Saints are having even worse pass rush troubles than the Falcons in 2018, the LB corps is weak, and the secondary has been exploitable thus far. Much will depend upon Atlanta’s defense: if they can’t keep up with New Orleans, then the game could become a shootout. How will the offense respond in that situation?Tevin Coleman and Ito SmithUsually when talking about the Falcons’ dynamic RB duo, we’re talking about Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman. Could we start using that to describe the pairing of Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith, too? If they can replicate their Week 2 performance, the answer might be yes. Coleman looked like a dominant runner against the Panthers. He’s playing with better balance than he has at any time in his career, and is more patient in the backfield. Ito Smith looked like a totally different player behind the first-team offensive line. Smith made some ridiculous cuts and showed off impressive burst and physicality in his limited touches. If these two can continue to run like that behind this Falcons’ offensive line—which just lost LG Andy Levitre for the season—then the Falcons may have some difficult decisions to make in 2019.Damontae KazeeThe Falcons were forced to play S Jordan Richards far more than they would’ve liked in Week 2 because of Damontae Kazee’s ejection. It was a very dumb play that significantly impacted the defense. That being said, I think his return to the secondary will be a huge boon this week against the Saints. Richards is serviceable as a box defender, but asking him to play deep coverage is a big mistake.Kazee is another ballhawk in the secondary that plays with physicality Andy Levitre Jersey , and his coverage ability is significantly better than Richards and probably even Poole. The Saints have struggled with turnovers through the first two weeks (-3 turnover margin in 2018), and an interception or two from the Falcons defense would go a long way in getting a very important victory against New Orleans.Wes SchweitzerAnother season-ending injury to the Falcons’ OL occurred this week with LG Andy Levitre being sent to IR. That meant third-year G Wes Schweitzer got inserted into the line-up early into the game against Carolina. Going up against a formidable DL of the Panthers featuring names like Kawann Short and Dontari Poe, Schweitzer more than held his own in relief of Levitre.Perhaps Schweitzer really has improved drastically over his 2017 season, or perhaps he’s simply more comfortable on the left side—where he spent nearly his entire college career. Maybe it’s a little of both. At any rate, Schweitzer stepping in and replicating Levitre’s play at LG would be a huge godsend to this offense. Let’s see how he does against Sheldon Rankins and Cameron Jordan on Sunday.Who are some players that you’ll be watching closely on Sunday? Do you think the Falcons’ defense can slow down the Saints’ offense? What do you think of Atlanta’s chances of winning a shootout with New Orleans? Eagles WR Mack Hollins won’t play versus Atlanta, DE Michael Bennett out Tuesday UPDATE: It looks like DE Michael Bennett is a-ok for Philly and will play Thursday despite missing Tuesday’s practice session. WR Mack Hollins confirmed out. The Eagles are going to be down another one of their better receiving targets. Our colleagues over at Bleeding Green Nation report that Philadelphia WR Mack Hollins won’t suit up Thursday against Atlanta, leaving them to Nelson Agholor and Mike Wallace as their main targets at receiver. It’s also said DE Michael Bennett did not practice Tuesday with a knee ailment, hinting he could be held out, too, and at the most won’t be one-hundred percent. The team later said the absence wasn’t related to an injury, however, so his status is very much up in the air. The Eagles already won’t be fielding starting QB Carson Wentz Authentic Devonta Freeman Jersey , WR Alshon Jeffery, LB Nigel Bradham and DT Tim Jernigan. With Hollins and maybe Bennett out, Philly’s coming out of the gate a bit hampered by the injury bug. RB Jay Ajayi is a full participant coming off a foot injury, and he’s given this defense problems before. The Falcons have the health edge Thursday for certain, and hopefully will take advantage of their healthier grouping. It’s not to say this game is a gimme, but it’s also not quite the same team that took Atlanta out of the playoffs in January, either. It’ll be a slugfest in the trenches come Thursday night, but Philly will be down a bit of talent. You don’t want to always depend on this to win ballgames, but it certainly helps to have the upper-hand here when you go on the road to play the champs.

Freeman Black Grady Jarrett Jersey has had injury struggles since the end of the 2017 season, and sadly, the buck hasn’t stopped with his Pittsburgh return.NFL insider Ian Rapoport dropped the unfortunate news that Freeman’s got a bone contusion in his foot. So between the 2017 struggles with concussions, the knee problems that got at him to close last season, the knee problems that held him out for three weeks this season, and the new bone contusion in his foot, Freeman’s had a rough patch of injury problems as of late. We won’t speculate now what that could mean for the future, but I can provide some insight on a contusion. I’ve got one in my knee right now (long story), and it’s painful. They heal up quickly, but swelling and problems with mobility and comfort are clearly issues once they first happen (at least they were for me). It’s good that Freeman’s able to get some work in on the side, as he’s far tougher than your Weenie Hut Jr. Falcoholic scribe is when it comes to getting hurt Black Logan Paulsen Jersey , but contusions seem like these just take time, rest, and care to heal. It’s entirely possible, and perhaps even likely, that Freeman will miss yet another game this week. If he does, the Falcons have proven they can keep the offense rolling without him with Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith taking the bulk of reps and Brian Hill waiting in the wings if needed. It’s another bummer piece of injury news for a struggling Falcons team, though at least it’s at a position of sterling depth. Here’s wishing Freeman well as he gets better, and here’s hoping he can get back on the field for good, injury-free, very soon.Falcons vs. Bengals: Final score predictions for Week 4 DWFalcons 24 - Bengals 21The Bengals defensive front could cause problems during the day. Geno Atkins in particular terrifies me. That said, the past two offensive performances makes me think that Steve Sarkisian is gaining confidence as a play caller and is already anticipating their defensive front. I think the Bengals will slow our offense more than the Saints and Panthers http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-andy-levitre-jersey , but I also believe we have some good matchups against their offense. Getting Takk McKinley back will be the difference here, as I think he’ll keep Andy Dalton from getting too comfortable in the pocket and limit their offense just enough to get the win.Kevin KnightFalcons 31 - Bengals 24The Falcons offense will once again have to carry the team in this one. Cincinnati’s defense is better than New Orleans’, particularly in the pass rushing department, but not by much. They’ve also struggled against the run far more than the Saints, which could make the Falcons’ play-action offense even more dangerous and help keep Andy Dalton and the Bengals’ offense on the sidelines. That’s really the best hope for this Falcons defense in keeping Cincy under 30 points, although the return of Takk McKinley should help Atlanta get some pressure up front. It’ll probably be uncomfortable, but the Falcons should get back to .500 on Sunday.Adnan IkicFalcons 34 - Bengals 24I have full faith in the offense to keep humming against a team that couldn’t even begin to penetrate Carolina’s injury plagued offensive line this past Sunday. Tevin Coleman should find some more running lanes to work with this week than he saw against New Orleans, and Matt Ryan should find himself operating within a clean pocket. You just expect the offense to score every time they touch the ball at this point. On defense, the pass rush should make more of an impact than we saw last Sunday with the return of Takk McKinley. Get some pressure on Andy Dalton’s and make him play catch up and he’ll make some mistakes (four interceptions thrown last game). The Bengals’ offense won’t get shut down but they won’t keep up.Cory WoodroofFalcons 30 - Bengals 28 This game has me more conflicted than any in the immediate future for the Falcons. The Bengals offense are going to be able to do a lot of things effectively against Atlanta’s defense; this is not a good matchup in the slightest. If they can put A.J. Green in the slot and get Gio Bernard active in the passing game, this could be an ugly afternoon for the defenders. They’re already fighting an uphill climb with losing Ricardo Allen from a communication standpoint. Atlanta is going to have to score 30 once again to get out of Dodge on this, though the Bengals defense has talent. Expect this one to be a “to the last whistle” affair once more Black Austin Hooper Jersey , with home field and a field goal the difference to get Atlanta to 2-2. It’s time for Atlanta’s defensive coaching staff to step up and fill in the gaps where the talent cannot.Dave ChoateFalcons 31 - Bengals 27A hard-fought, frustrating game that is in doubt until the end? Very little defense and plenty of offense? That sounds like a 2018 Falcons game, doesn’t it? Enough questions. Atlanta can win this game if the offense keeps humming and the defense gets its act together even a little, and I think they will. A loss here puts the Falcons in a rough spot, and they shouldn’t lack for motivation. Allen StrkFalcons 30 - Bengals 28Expect this to be the third consecutive topsy-turvy game inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With all the problems surrounding Atlanta’s defense, it’s hard to expect any straightforward games against half-decent opposition. The Bengals could be viewed as even better than half-decent. A rapidly improving offense featured a revamped coaching staff and plethora of playmakers will give Dan Quinn’s decimated defense serious problems. For all the defensive shortcomings, the offense appears to be ready for any challenge. Picking apart a subpar Bengals’ secondary shouldn’t be too difficult for Matt Ryan. As long as the protection holds up, the Falcons should win another high-scoring affair. Don’t be surprised to see Matt Bryant hit a game-winning field goal.

The Atlanta Falcons did their most spirited impression of a complete professional football team during Sunday’s victory over the Carolina Panthers. It was a timely win in that it assuaged some of the hysteria that dominated the Falcons-related interwebs following a week one loss to World Champion Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia. Today is Tuesday Youth Brandon Fusco Jersey , and you know what that means: power rankings! Let’s break ‘em down. ESPN: 8th (up two spots) NFL.com: 9th (down two spots) CBS Sports: 11th (same)Sports Illustrated: 8th (same) NBC Sports: 9th (up one spot) SB Nation: 10th (up five spots) Can’t quibble with any of these rankings. The Falcons offense still looks to be one of the league’s best, but if the defense doesn’t make you nervous, you’d better find a doctor and get confirmation that you still have a pulse. Your thoughts? Falcons cornerback Robert Alford and kicker Matt Bryant have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins after both missed practice for the third straight day.Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that rookie Isaiah Oliver will take Alford's spot. Oliver, a second-round draft pick from Colorado, makes his second career start.Alford Youth Terrell McClain Jersey , a starter in 67 of 79 career games, is out with an ankle injury and will miss his first game since 2015. He was hurt in a win over the New York Giants 11 days ago.Giorgio Tavecchio will replace Bryant for the second straight game. With Bryant hobbled by a sore hamstring since kicking a 57-yard field goal against Tampa Bay, Tavecchio kicked three field goals against New York. He sealed the outcome with a 56-yarder in the closing minutes. The Falcons (3-4) hope that receiver Mohammed Sanu will be active against the Redskins (5-2). He has been limited in practice two days this week and did not participate Thursday because of a hip injury. The Falcons, who rank third-worst in scoring defense and yards allowed per game, will be without their best linebacker Authentic Matt Ryan Jersey , Deion Jones, for at least another two more weeks. Jones has been sidelined with a foot injury since the season-opening loss at Philadelphia. Strong safety Keanu Neal was lost for the season in the opener and free safety Ricardo Allen was lost for the year in Week 3.

The Detroit Lions Youth Customized Detroit Lions Jerseysmade an intriguing transaction on Saturday morning, just over 24 hours before they face off against their division rival Green Bay Packers. The team announced that they’ve waived tight end Hakeem Valles, while promoting cornerback Cre’von LeBlanc to the active roster from the practice squad.Valles was a training camp standout and had a productive preseason, as well. He pulled in eight catches for 74 yards between the four exhibition games, and that productivity forced the Lions into keeping a fourth tight end on their 53-man roster behind Luke Willson, Levine Toilolo and Michael Roberts. However, Valles hasn’t played much in the regular season thus far. He’s only had 29 offensive snaps between four games that have resulted in just two catches for 11 yards. The Lions’ decision to waive him comes at a curious time. Fellow tight end Michael Roberts has already been declared out for Sunday, which means Detroit will be rolling with just two active tight ends on gameday: Willson and Toilolo. As for the promotion of LeBlanc, it’s a bad sign for the health of the Lions’ secondary. As of Friday, cornerbacks Quandre Diggs and Nevin Lawson were listed as questionable, with a hand and illness respectively. Additionally, Tavon Wilson (back) and Tracy Walker (ankle) were also listed as questionable for the Packers game.LeBlanc was added to Detroit’s practice squad after he failed to make the Bears’ final 53-man roster. LeBlanc has played in 28 total games with 10 starts in his two-year career. Over that span, he has 61 tackles and two interceptions. The Lions also signed CB Dee Virgin to the practice squad and released S Rolan Milligan. The Detroit Lions had a lot of possible factors to weigh before trading Golden Tate. The Lions are in last place, but only a game out of first. Tate is on pace for a third straight season with 1,000 yards receiving, but he's on an expiring contract."There are a lot of difficult decisions that are made in the NFL multiple times during the course of the year," Detroit coach Matt Patricia said Wednesday. The Lions dealt Tate to Philadelphia on Tuesday for a third-round draft pick www.lionsauthorizedshops.com , parting with the veteran receiver right before a pair of crucial divisional road games. Detroit faces Minnesota this weekend and then heads to Chicago, but the trade — which didn't bring the Lions anyone who can help this season — was clearly a move made with the long-term future in mind."It's a holistic picture of taking a look at what's the best thing for us to do as a team," Patricia said. "It's not about one player. It's about team. It's about everybody. We have a lot of guys that are really good on this team that can produce and honestly, for me, we have confidence in everybody that's on this team right now."General manager Bob Quinn released a statement Tuesday thanking Tate for his contributions, but it was left to Patricia to take questions about the organization's thinking. Tate is in the final season of his contract, so from that standpoint the Lions got decent value for a player who may have ended up elsewhere anyway. But it's hard to say what this year's team could have accomplished with Tate. Detroit fired coach Jim Caldwell after he went 9-7 last season, an indication the organization felt it was capable of more. Now the Lions have sent mixed signals about what they feel their potential is in 2018.Before last weekend's game, Detroit sent a draft pick to the New York Giants for defensive tackle Damon Harrison, a move that could help shore up the run defense. Then the Lions lost to Seattle last weekend and traded Tate.So Detroit was both a buyer and a seller at the deadline."We have coaches, and I let those guys coach. We have managers, and I let those guys manage," safety Glover Quin said. "We have players, and our job is to go out and play, so the guys who we have to go out and play with, that's who we've got, and that's all that we can control."In trading Tate Detroit Lions Womens T-Shirt , the Lions seemed to move away from their approach of the past few years. Detroit has used draft picks and free agent signings to try to surround quarterback Matthew Stafford with plenty of help. The Lions have tried to upgrade their offensive line, and this year they appear to have made real progress with their running game. They also might have had more receiving targets than they needed. Marvin Jones is coming off his own 1,000-yard season, and second-year receiver Kenny Golladay looks like he could be a star."If everybody's just going to sit around here and mope, that's just not going to help the team," Marvin Jones said. "We're on to the Vikings."Still, Tate's production won't be easy to replace."He's had 90-plus catches I think every year he's been here, so that's a lot of touches, a lot of targets for everyone to pick up," receiver TJ Jones said. "We're all going to collectively do it."NOTES: The Lions signed LB Kelvin Sheppard, signed DE Alex Barrett to the practice squad, and released TE Jerome Cunningham from the practice squad. ... DE Ziggy Ansah (shoulder), T Taylor Decker (back), G T.J. Lang (hip) and RB Theo Riddick (knee) were limited at practice.

Bears Week 2 is almost over Detroit Lions T-Shirt , and it could be done with any sooner. Three NFC North teams have played thus far, and zero have picked up a win. Sure, the Vikings and Packers didn’t lose either, but it wasn’t exactly a banner day for either of those teams. I’m told the Detroit Lions also played on Sunday, but I feel like those are just rumors at this point. I’ve yet to confirm. The Chicago Bears will close out the week by hosting the Seattle Seahawks. The Bears looked improved in their opening week loss to the Green Bay Packers... that is Detroit Lions Hats , before Aaron Rodgers laid them to waste in devastating fashion. We’ll see if the Bears can rebound on Monday night, because I’m guessing they don’t want to be in the same 0-2 hole that the Lions are (reportedly) in. Here’s how to watch tonight’s game.TV ScheduleDate: Monday, September 17, 2018Location: Soldier Field—Chicago, ILTime: 8:15 p.m. ETChannel: ESPNAnnouncers: Joe Tessitore Detroit Lions Hoodie , Jason Witten, and Booger McFarland (sideline reporter: Lisa Salters)Online Streaming: WatchESPNOdds: Bears by 4 Seattle coach Pete Carroll has found a bigger meaning behind an audacious fourth quarter decision by rookie Michael Dickson to run on fourth down out of his own end zone, a play that somehow managed to net a first down. The Seahawks are playing with a style Carroll wants to see and the freedom to try things that might otherwise seem foolish — like a punter running on fourth-and-8 at his own 3 rather than taking a safety like he was supposed to.The result is that the Seahawks having won four of five after Sunday's 28-14 victory over Detroit, with six of the final nine games at home and Seattle in the thick of the NFC playoff conversation at midseason."I like to think he showed you our mentality that we trust our guys and we work hard and work at it that you're going to get faced with opportunities, and I like our guys to be able to improvise well and find the ways to make special things happen Cheap Customized Detroit Lions Jerseys ," Carroll said Monday. "We always look for guys who have special qualities and part of that is, the guys who have the background and courage and faculties to make those kinds of decisions."Dickson's 9-yard run with 2:18 remaining aside, the Seahawks once again used the formula that has worked for the past five games: play strong defense; control the ball offensively with the run; let Russell Wilson use the pass game efficiently and not as the primary vehicle for Seattle's offense.Seattle held promising young Detroit running back Kerryon Johnson to 22 yards rushing on just eight carries and limited the Lions to just 34 yards total on the ground. The Seahawks ran 42 times for 176 yards — including Dickson's run — and had the ball for nearly 35 minutes. Wilson also posted the first perfect passer-rating game in Seahawks history while completing 14 of 17 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns.Wilson's 17 pass attempts matched the second-fewest of his career. The only time he threw less came in his rookie season when he was 7 of 13 passing against Arizona in a game Seattle won 58-0. He didn't need to carry the offensive load through the air because of the success Seattle was having on the ground.Chris Carson topped 100 yards rushing for the third time and continues to show the makings of the featured back Seattle has sought since Marshawn Lynch departed. Carson capped his day with a 7-yard TD run in the fourth quarter while bowling over defenders at the goal line. The play gave Seattle a 28-7 lead.Carson is finding success running the ball because Seattle's offensive line continues to play at a high level not seen from the Seahawks since their consecutive seasons winning the NFC championship."We have more run game than we've had in the past. We have more choices in how we go about doing it," Carroll said. "It's a different philosophy in how we're doing it up front and the guys have come along well. We have a very smart, experienced group of guys now to run with. ... We have a pretty good setup right now and really we're just kind of hitting it. I think we have a chance to get a lot better as we move on through the challenges of the season."NOTES: Carroll said LB K.J. Wright (knee) and TE Ed Dickson (quad/groin) both came through their season debuts without issue on Sunday. Wright had five tackles and played 50 snaps on defense www.thelionsfootballauthentic.com , while Dickson had two catches for 54 yards and a touchdown. ... Seattle is now plus-10 in turnover margin. The Seahawks have forced 16 turnovers and committed only six.

After months of sitting around waiting for football to make its grand return it feels like so much of the season has already passed by. Part of the reason why it doesn’t feel like the season has even really gotten going is that the Lions as a team haven’t really gotten going yet. They are 1-3 at the moment and there are many issues everywhere around the roster that still need to be fixed.Today we’ll grade each individual unit on this team over the past 4 games and see where they all stand at this point in the season. Coaching: DNames to know: Matt Patricia, Jim Bob Cooter, Paul PasqualoniThe Detroit Lions have had one horrid game and one amazing one. The team was absolutely embarrassed by the New York Jets Week 1, then had an absolute master class of a performance a few weeks later against the New England Patriots. Both of these games seem like outliers. In the other two games this season the Lions were dominated until late by the San Francisco 49ers and lost a late thriller against the Dallas Cowboys. In both of the losses, the Lions play calling was a disaster, and the front seven looked like they had no idea what they were doing against the run. Benching Teez Tabor for Nevin Lawson in Week 2 was an interesting choice that immediately backfired and put the team in an early hole.A 9-7 team from only a year ago looks like a 4-12 team this season. The incredible performance against the Patriots is the only thing salvaging the coaching grades at the moment. This team does not look ready to compete. Quarterback: CName to know: Matthew StaffordThe Lions long time starting quarterback got off to a shocking start to the 2018 season but has steadily improved since. He threw four interceptions in the season opener against the Jets but has only thrown one in the three games since. The quarterback had a rough game against the 49ers in Week 2. He wasn’t the main feature of the offense in the Week 3 victory over the Patriots Detroit Lions T-Shirt , so the Week 4 loss to the Cowboys was the first time we were able to see him at his best. While his game in Dallas shows promise for his return to form for the rest of the season, his shaky start to the season is definitely a huge factor in the team’s rough start to the season. Running Backs: CNames to know: Kerryon Johnson, LeGarrette Blount, Theo RiddickDetroit’s “new and improved” run game looks a lot more “new” than “improved” so far. Kerryon Johnson has been the star of the Lions running back unit. The rookie broke the 100-yard mark in the Week 3 win and holds the most responsibility for the team’s lone win. Outside of that one game, though, the Lions run game has been inefficient. LeGarrette Blount has quietly been awful this season and Theo Riddick has not been producing at his normal rate as either a runner or receiver. A lot of the blame for the run game’s struggles does fall on the offensive line, but this unit has to step their game up if they want to meet expectations. Wide Receivers: ANames to know: Golden Tate, Kenny Golladay, Marvin JonesIf there is one bright spot for the Lions this season it is the amazing play of their receivers. Kenny Golladay has emerged as Matthew Stafford’s favorite target this season. The second-year player’s 23 receptions has almost matched his 2017 receiving total in 28. Golden Tate is still a YAC-king. Marvin Jones has been quieter this season than he was in the last but the receiver has still proven to be a reliable target. With Stafford only getting better, and the Lions receiving corps looking like one of the best in the league, it looks like the onus will fall on them to save Detroit’s season. Tight Ends: FNames to know: Luke Willson, Michael Roberts, Levine Toilolo, Hakeem VallesWhile the wide receiver have been amazing, the new look tight end unit has been awful this season. The four tight ends on the roster have combined for 13 catches and 74 yards. Michael Roberts touchdown in Week 2 is the only one scored by a tight end this season. While Levine Toilolo has been decent as a blocker, this unit needs to step up to match the production of Eric Ebron and Darren Fells from last season.Interior Offensive Line: CNames to know: Graham Glasgow, T.J. Lang, Frank Ragnow, Kenny WigginsThe Lions interior offensive line has been hit or miss this season. First round pick Frank Ragnow took some time to find his footing in the league, but he has been great the past few weeks. Graham Glasgow and T.J. Lang have been great in pass protection as well. The run blocking from this unit Detroit Lions Hats , especially from Glasgow, hasn’t been up to par. They are partly responsible for the team’s failures running the ball. With Lang out as well, Kenny Wiggins is in the lineup. Wiggins isn’t a very good run or pass blocker, and the potential of him starting can possibly ruin the entire offense. Tackles: BNames to know: Rick Wagner, Taylor DeckerDetroit’s pass protection this season has been great and much of it is a result of the great play by the Lions tackles. Both Wagner and Decker were great in Week 2 and Week 3. Last week’s matchup with the Cowboys pass rush eventually got the better of Decker and Wagner, but overall they have been great. Their run blocking could be better, but I also don’t think the Lions should be running the ball at all, so that doesn’t take way from great pass protection. Interior Defensive Line: DNames to know: Da’Shawn Hand, Sylvester Williams, A’Shawn Robinson, Ricky Jean FrancoisThere is not a unit on the Lions roster more responsible for the teams failure this season than the interior defensive line. A’Shawn Robinson was a healthy scratch at one point and has not been a great run stopper when he was in the lineup. Ricky Jean-Francois and Sylvester Williams are both free agent flops. Neither have been reliable pass rushers and they can’t hold their gaps in the run game. Da’Shawn Hand, a rookie drafted to play on the edge who transferred inside, is the only bright spot in this unit. He has been able to chew up space inside and hold his gaps in the run game. Outside of Hand, this defensive line has been pretty much useless to the team. They are responsible for the team’s terrible run defense and they haven’t provided much of a pass rush either. Edge Defenders: BNames to know: Devon Kennard, Ezekiel Ansah, Eli Harold, Kerry Hyder, Romeo OkwaraOne of the biggest concerns heading into the season was the Lions lack of quality edge defenders. They have exceeded expectations and then some. Devon Kennard has been a star free agent signing. He has 4.0 sacks in four games, matching his 2017 total. Eli Harold and Romeo Okwara, late additions to the team Detroit Lions Hoodie , have been productive as well. Ezekiel Ansah was supposed to be the star of the unit but has missed time with a shoulder injury. Once he returns the Lions edge unit can only get better. Linebackers: DNames to know: Jarrad Davis, Christian Jones, Jalen Reeves-MaybinDetroit’s linebackers were a problem last season and not much has changed. While Jarrad Davis has been a little better in coverage this season than last, he often gets lost and finds himself behind plays. Christian Jones has done more harm than good and the weak side linebacker looks like he has no idea how to stop the run. Jalen Reeves-Maybin is the only other linebacker getting regular playing time, and he hasn’t really done much to make up for the failures of his peers. The linebackers are better than they were last season, but that isn’t saying much. Cornerbacks: CNames to know: Darius Slay, Nevin Lawson, Teez Tabor, Quandre Diggs, Jamal Agnew, Deshawn SheadDarius Slay is still a shut down corner. He had a quiet start to the season but absolutely dominated the Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys. The rest of the unit has been awful, though. Nevin Lawson had a horrid game against the New York Jets in Week 1, then was benched for Teez Tabor in Week 2. Tabor instantly made the team regret that decision and got benched again. They brought Deshawn Shead back from training camp and while he didn’t play against the Cowboys, one has to imagine he will replace both Lawson and Tabor in the lineup. Jamal Agnew is a punt returner and whenever he lines up in coverage it’s almost a guaranteed first down for the other team. Safety: CNames to know: Glover Quin, Tavon Wilson, Tracy WalkerThe once reliable safety unit took a step back for Detroit this season. Glover Quin hasn’t been his normal self as it seems that his nine years in the NFL may finally have worn down his body. Tavon Wilson has looked lost in coverage. Tracy Walker has played a role in the defense, but he hasn’t done much to stand out yet. While they haven’t been terrible, no one from this unit has looked very good either.

  • Nathan Peterman is oblivious to the punchlines made at the Buffalo Bills' turnover-prone quarterback's expense."Yeah http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-mike-nugent-jersey , I know," Peterman said with a laugh Wednesday, upon being advised to not search out his name on the internet. The second-year player doesn't need any reminders of his throwing nine interceptions on just 81 career passing attempts over seven regular-season appearances, none lasting more than three quarters. All Peterman knows is so long as the Bills allow him to keep pulling on a jersey each week, he's going to keep believing better things are just around the corner."I'm still here," Peterman said. "And every time you're here, every time you step on the field, and you're in this building, I'm always ready. I was ready last week. And I'm going to be ready again this week."He had better be, in what could be his latest — and perhaps last — chance to prove himself on Sunday, when the injury-depleted Bills (2-6) host the Chicago Bears (4-3).Buffalo could be left with little choice but to start Peterman.Rookie Josh Allen will miss his third straight game, having already been ruled out due to a sprained elbow on his right throwing arm. And veteran backup Derek Anderson is in the NFL's concussion protocol after he was hurt in the final minutes of a 25-6 loss against New England on Monday.Though coach Sean McDermott has yet to rule out Anderson entirely, the Bills did take the precautionary step of signing free-agent journeyman Matt Barkley on Wednesday in the event they need a backup to Peterman.McDermott said he maintains confidence in Peterman, while at the same time acknowledging the second-year player's rash of struggles."Yeah, I understand where you're coming from on that," McDermott said when asked if he has any concerns over Peterman's self-confidence. He then segued into explaining how the team has resources to assist players and coaches with their confidence levels.Peterman's two-year tenure has been a rocky one since the Bills used a fifth-round pick to draft him out of Pittsburgh. He's best remembered for throwing five interceptions in the first half of a 54-24 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers in what was Peterman's first start. His second season in Buffalo hasn't gone much better.Chosen the season-opening starter, ahead of Allen and after AJ McCarron was traded to Oakland, Peterman went 5 of 18 for 24 yards passing and threw two interceptions before being yanked two series into the third quarter of a 47-3 loss at Baltimore. He hardly fared better in his next appearance, a 20-13 loss at Houston in which Peterman took over after Allen was hurt. After throwing a go-ahead touchdown pass to Zay Jones, Peterman melted down by throwing interceptions on Buffalo's final two series Frostee Rucker Jersey , including one returned for the decisive score."Mistakes are in the past. I've learned from them. I've taken them to heart. I'll never forget them," Peterman said. "But at the same time, I'll learn from them and move on."Peterman's unwavering approach has earned the respect of his teammates."He doesn't show a lot of emotion where things get to him. I know he's heard all the outside stuff," Jones said. "Hopefully, this is the week for him. And I whole-heartedly believe in him."Buffalo's issues on offense go beyond quarterback no matter who's started this season. It's a patchwork unit that has scored 87 points overall, and only two touchdowns in its past five games. The Bears are tied for second in the NFL with 11 interceptions and 17 takeaways.Newly signed Bills receiver Terrelle Pryor said it's on the entire offense to work as a unit rather than place the burden on Peterman."We're going to help him be very successful," said Pryor, who signed with Buffalo on Tuesday. "We're going to make him look good this weekend. Period."No one, Peterman said, is perfect."Stuff happens in life, whether good or bad. How you react to it really is what makes you who you are," Peterman said. "Everything I've been through in the past, that's who I am standing in front of you today."What Raiders, Rams players and coaches are saying ahead of week one match-up The kickoff to the Raiders 2018 season is just days away. The Raiders will have their hands full in week one when they welcome in the Los Angeles Rams to the coliseum. The Rams were very active in the offseason, making big additions to both the defense as well as offense.Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters, and Aqib Talib are three new faces on the defensive side of the ball.Quarterback Jared Goff’s new weapon on offense is former New England Patriots wide receiver, Brandin Cooks. And all the new faces are making it tough for Gruden to use game tape to prepare for them. The Rams were a playoff team in 2018, so with the additions they’ve made you can why Las Vegas sportsbooks have them as one of their favorites to win the Super Bowl. The Raiders on the other hand are entering the season with much more uncertainty. You would be hard pressed to find another team in the league that has experienced the type of change the Raiders have.Let’s start with a new head coach, and entirely new coaching staff. Not to mention 29 new players on the 53 man roster Authentic Leon Hall Jersey , and oh yea no Khalil Mack. The Rams really don’t have many weaknesses on either side of the ball.Offensively they can be explosive. They also can get it done on the ground with reigning MVP, Todd Gurley III or through the air.Paul Guenther will need to come up with a game plan that can somehow slow down the NFL’shighest scoring offense from 2017.A key match up to keep an eye on is Rams wide receiver, Brandin Cooks and whomever gets the task of shutting him down.My guess would be Gareon Conley. The Raiders have faced Cooks in the previous two seasons and in both years, he has torched them. You might recall the 2016 season opener, when Cooks was a member of the New Orleans Saints.Although the Raiders won a 35-34 thriller, Cooks had himself a day.Catching six balls on nine targets for 143 yards, including two touchdowns.Last season, new team but same results for Cooks.Once again he posted six catches for 149 yards and a touchdown. His game breaking speed must be accounted for.Gareon Conley was selected in the first round of the 2017 draft for a reason, and that is to be a shut down corner.I would imagine Guenther will give his young corner the opportunity prove his worth against Cooks.Let’s take a look at what players and coaches from both teams are saying about the match up.Head Coach Jon Gruden, when asked how he plans to sustain drives against a formidable Rams defense.“We need to have 36 minutes of possession. Well, Wade Phillips is going to blitz, they’re going to play an eight-man front and make it almost impossible to run the ball. So, the best way to win this game is to do something when you have the ball. We’re going to have to score. When we get our chances to run it, we’re going to have to deal with some loaded boxes and some talented Ram defenders. I can’t wait to see how we do it.”Wide Receiver Amari Cooper, on the challenge of facing cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib.“Man, those guys are good players. Ball hawks, really smart players. So it’s definitely going to be a challenge for us and I’m excited about it.”Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson, when asked about the Raiders interior OL going against the Rams interior DL.“Great match up and our guys are looking forward to it, I’m sure the Rams are as well. I think anytime you get to compete against the best at your position in the league, I think it’s no different than our wide receivers going against a very talented secondary. I think they relish the challenge.”Defensive Coordinator Paul Guenther Youth Johnny Townsend Jersey , on facing Sean McVay’s high powered offense.“I’ve got a lot of respect for Sean, what he does, the program he runs. They are very innovative on offense, obviously they are the number one offense in the NFL. It will be a great challenge for us Monday night.”Kolton Miller, on playing in his first NFL game.“Excited, very excited, a little nervous for the first regular season game but I feel good, feel ready, feel prepared. Ready to attack it.”Kirby Lee-USA TODAY SportsRams Head Coach Sean McVay, on facing a Raiders defense that no longer features Khalil Mack.“I think he’s a player that’s such a good football player that sometimes you’ve got to be more cognizant of others. But we have a lot of respect, they’ve gotten some young players that they’ve drafted and some veteran guys that have done a lot of good things in this league. We have a lot of respect for their front.”Kirby Lee-USA TODAY SportsRams Head Coach Sean McVay, on facing close friend and mentor Jon Gruden.“If you get a chance to coach against one of your mentors, and a guy that taught you almost kind of the foundation of what you know about this game, I think it would be a fun, humbling opportunity,”

  • We’re back with another week of NFL picks from The Falcoholic staff http://www.falconsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-desmond-trufant-jersey , our guest pickers, and our resident dog picker, because we are very serious journalists. For the first time this season, the confidence this staff has in the team is starting to wane. We’re split this week on the outcome against Pittsburgh. I don’t enjoy picking against the Falcons, and I’m sure my friends here at the site agree with me. In fact, I hate it. I’m also not all that great at picks, as is evidenced by my sub-.500 overall record, so I kind of hope I’m reverse-jinxing them with a Steelers pick this week. We’re into bye weeks now, and the Bucs are off this week, which leaves us with just four games to pick. Everyone but my dog is rolling with the Patriots over the Colts — but Baxter was also the only picker who correctly predicted the Lions’ win over the Patriots a couple of weeks ago Andy Levitre Jersey , so we’ll see. The Panthers face the Giants, and we may not want the Panthers to win, but, well, it’s the Giants. Everyone but Kendall Jackson is going with Carolina. And the Saints have Washington on the schedule this week. Again, nobody wants the Saints to succeed at anything at any time, but in the interest of being realistic, plenty of our staff is picking them to win this one. My dog is just trying to make me mad with his picks at this point. He picked against the Falcons AGAIN. He picked the Colts, as I mentioned, despite the fact that his dad is a Patriots fan (although to be fair Authentic Devonta Freeman Jersey , it will be pretty great if the Colts win). And he picked Atlanta’s NFC South rivals, the Panthers and the Saints, even though those are garbage teams and nobody wants them to win. We all had a bounce-back week last week after a weird week of football in Week 3 led to everyone but Baxter posting sub-.500 results for the week. Here’s hoping the Falcons actually have a bounce-back week this week against the Steelers. Our reader guest picker this week is FalconEEr, and we’re also joined by our frenemy Jeff Hartman from SB Nation’s Steelers site, Behind the Steel Curtain. Let’s be honest. This is really more of a “choose who sucked less” type of poll than it is a “hey that guy was pretty good” kind of poll. So be it. The defense gave up 14 billion points en route to a disappointing loss and yet another potential devastating loss of a starter. Here are your candidates for the least offensive defensive player.Ricardo AllenWith Ricardo potentially being out for significant time, this one hurts. He was having a decent game, especially when you consider that he was asked to play in the box more than he’s used to. More than anything, his veteran leadership on the field was felt the moment he wasn’t on it anymore. Let’s hope and pray his injury isn’t season ending.Duke RileyA week after getting gashed by the Panthers Youth Ricardo Allen Jersey , Riley did a much better job of settling down in this game. He wasn’t perfect, but the progress from the last game to this one was noticeable. If he can continue to improve like this, he could go from liability to capable starter in a short period of time.Damontae KazeeKazee has shown flashes of being an amazing, instinctive player even if he is prone to whiff on tackles here and there. He clearly has a nose for finding the football, though he needs to clean up once he gets there. If this defense is going to avoid being the worst in the league, Kazee will need to be one of the guys to step up big time.Random guy on the benchLet’s be honest: giving up nearly 50 points and missing tackles like you’re in a pee wee league was frustrating. In fact, it was so bad at times that a random guy on the bench looked like a better option. Seriously. Who is your pick? Let us know below:

  • Column maestro Jeff Schultz rightly points out in his newest piece for The Athletic that Atlanta’s Super Bowl chances will come down to OC Steve Sarkisian’s maturation. Indeed Atlanta Falcons T-Shirt , he’s right. That’s the bread and butter of where this team goes, and as he rises, so will the Falcons. This paragraph caught our eye, though. That feels important. We knew Knapp would be helping in pointing out the coverages, but the way Schultz words this makes it seem like much more of a partnership than a supporting role. If Knapp is doing this now, it must mean this is what Sarkisian was doing by his lonesome last season. We’ve long wondered what Knapp’s addition secretly meant for this offense, and this clip might reveal what we’ve long speculated. Knapp might be an unsung co-offensive coordinator. Now, it’s important to note Sark will still be calling the actual plays themselves, though how Knapp dictates the defensive looks will influence what Sark feels comfortable in calling up. That’s key. Knapp’s ability to size up a defense looks now to be just as imperative as Sark’s role in drawing up the plays. We don’t want to kick up a fuss and say any of this is brand new intel Atlanta Falcons Hats , though the way Schultz casts a frame on the coaches makes it seem like it’s quite potent for Knapp to be reading these defenses right. It makes you wonder if that was the key issue last year with Sark. He knew the right play to call; he just didn’t know how exactly to match that with what the best defenses were cooking up. The team will now rely on Knapp for this necessary step. That really sounds like he’s got a good bit of sway over where the offense goes this season. He sounds like the starting point to where the play calling winds up.Falcons vs. Bengals: Key info, tracker and open thread Well, folks, it’s just about time for Falcons football again. I hope you’re ready for this. This week’s opponent is one of many that looks stronger in 2018 than we anticipated, but this remains a winnable contest. The Falcons have a better offense than the Bengals (on paper) and Cincinnati has not been able to play the caliber of defense they appear to be capable of (again on paper). Playing at home and with Takk back, I like Atlanta’s chances in this one.And let’s just focus on this one for now. It’s hard not to be anxious about the future of this team and that’s more or less what we’ve been writing about constantly, but for the next three hours or so, put it out of your mind and watch a football game. We’re still here for that, after all.Go Falcons! Atlanta’s start time delayed Youth Logan Paulsen Jersey , but you can follow along here Friends, we have made it. We have wandered through the desert, where the football did not fall from the sky like rain but instead pooled quietly and secretly beneath the dunes, and we have arrived at a great lake of NFL action. We spent months waiting for this day, and now that it is here, we must rejoice in it. We must drink deep of it. The matchup is one of the toughest the Falcons will face all year, but that means it’ll temper this team better than starting off against one of the league’s lesser lights. The Eagles are banged up and without some of their very best players, but they remain the defending Super Bowl champions and one of the most balanced teams in the entire NFL. A victory tonight will be hard-fought and will tell us plenty about this Falcons team in 2018. Here’s what you need to know tonight Youth Brandon Fusco Jersey , plus our Twitter tracker. For the second straight week, the Falcons defense turned in a dismal performance that squandered a fantastic performance from the offense. It’s been a frustrating couple of weeks, but some players did stand out for individual plays they made. Damontae KazeeFilling in for a veteran like Ricardo Allen was never going to be easy Youth Terrell McClain Jersey , but Kazee may be adjusting better than most. His interception was one of the few turnovers in the season for the Falcons and it stopped at least one Bengals drive from ending in a touchdown.Takk McKinleyMcKinley was a human wrecking ball, racking up 3 sacks against thean overmatched right side of the Bengals offensive line. The team needed more from the pass rush and Takk took that as a personal challenge. He more than lived up to what the team needed him to do, and hopefully will keep doing so. Vic BeasleyBeasley may not have registered an official sack (stupid refs), but he was far more disruptive today than he’s been all season. It was a step in the right direction for the fourth year pass rusher.Oh, whateverYeah, if you’re not inspired to vote for anyone, I don’t blame you. Making a few plays throughout a game in which you give up 37 points is not something to brag about. Ugh.Vote in our poll below!

  • Detroit Lions cutting DBDatum08.11.2018 04:16

DeShawn Shead http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-darius-slay-jersey , CB Mike Ford We have our first big surprise on Detroit Lions cut day. Per Ian Rapoport, the Lions are parting ways with former Seahawks defensive back DeShawn Shead.Shead was brought in this offseason with a lot of hype surrounding him. Though he was just returning from a torn ACL at the end of the 2017 season, Shead played well with the Seahawks prior to the injury. In Detroit, he offered a lot of versatility, being able to play as an outside corner, in the nickel or even as a safety. However, it never really turned out that way in his brief time in Detroit. He entered training camp as the teams No. 2 cornerback, but that quickly gave way to Nevin Lawson as camp went on. Then Shead went missing for a week Tavon Wilson Jersey , presumably due to an injury. He reappeared in the preseason finale, and the Lions gave him plenty of reps to prove his worth, both as an outside corner and nickelback. However, the Lions must not have liked what they saw.In addition to cutting Shead, the Lions are also moving on from cornerback Mike Ford. Ford was one of the biggest names signed for the Lions 2018 UDFA class, but the road to a roster spot was always going to be a very long one. Boasting a great athletic profile and multiple teams trying to bring him to camp, Ford was set up to display his skills in a competitive position group, but wasn’t able to do enough to push someone else off the roster. He is very likely headed to the practice squad to develop Authentic Matt Prater Jersey , the Lions having paid a sizable sum to secure his services as a UDFA.This leaves the Lions with just five cornerbacks on the roster right now.Notes: Jace Billingsley signing to New England Patriots’ practice squad While no Detroit Lions players that were waived or cut this weekend have found their way onto a 53-man roster as of Monday afternoon, a handful of players have jumped to other teams’ practice squads. The latest is former Lions receiver Jace Billingsley, who has reportedly signed with the New England Patriots. For the past two years, Billingsley has spent most of his time on the Lions’ practice squad after failing to make the team in back-to-back years. He was waived again this offseason, but there was no indication if the Lions wanted him back this time. ESPN’s Mike Reese seems to suggest Detroit tried to get him back, noting that Billingsley “could have returned” but saw New England “as better opportunity.”Considering the Lions kept six wide receivers on the roster this year, including undrafted rookie Brandon Powell, it certainly makes sense on Billingsley’s end. In New England Youth Nevin Lawson Jersey , he has a shot to be promoted to their regular roster at any time. With Julian Edelman serving a four-game suspension to start the year and New England dealing with a couple of injuries, Billingsley could be a good fit there. However, the Patriots were also awarded two receivers off waivers this weekend—Chad Hansen and Amara Darboh—who will offer some serious competition to Billingsley. It had been the least-kept secret, but the Detroit Lions will officially be facing off against Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold: The Athletic has a great piece on new Lions linebacker Marquis Flowers and how Matt Patricia used him during the 2017 AFC divisional playoff game against the Titans. In case you were wondering if the Lions made waiver claims on guys like Mario Edwards or Carl Davis... they did not: Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire has a nice, short profile on the newest Lions cornerback Dee Virgin. This has to be a good sign for the upcoming season, right? Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton thinks the Detroit Lions are one the biggest sleeper teams this year and believes they deserve more respect.

  • Eagles had a mediocre first half. The offense was inconsistent Cheap Taylor Decker Jersey , the defense couldn't protect leads in the fourth quarter and injuries were a factor. So the Eagles entered their bye at 4-4 and were second behind Washington (5-2) in the NFC East. They have a challenging schedule coming up and it's unlikely they'll win enough games to get a first-round bye if they can even catch the Redskins. But help is on the way from the outside and from within.Wide receiver Golden Tate was acquired from Detroit shortly before the NFL's trade deadline, giving Carson Wentz a needed option. The Eagles are averaging only 22.2 points per game, down from 28.6 last year.Running back Darren Sproles could be returning for Philadelphia's next game against Dallas after being sidelined since injuring his hamstring in Week 1. Two more players from the group on injured reserve — receivers Mack Hollins and Mike Wallace and tight end Richard Rodgers — also will be eligible to come back."We definitely have the pieces and now is the time to get hot going into November with five more division games," Tate said. "We just need to stay on track. I plan on going to the playoffs and playing a few more."Giving up a third-round pick for Tate, who is in the final season of his contract, was a risky move. It shows the organization believes the team is still a Super Bowl contender despite the so-so record."We have a lot of confidence in our players and in our coaching staff," personnel boss Howie Roseman said. "Has everything gone exactly the way we thought this year? No. I don't think any season does."But we think we have a really good football team and we are adding a really good player. We are going to keep our foot on the gas. We are not going to sit on our hands."Wentz was one of the positives in the first two months. He has been mostly excellent since missing the first two games while recovering from knee surgery that forced him to miss the playoffs. However, the offense had other issues.Running back Jay Ajayi tore his ACL, wideout Alshon Jeffery missed the first three games and bookend tackles Jason Peters and Lane Johnson are banged-up and didn't play up to their high standards."That week off is huge both for people's minds and their bodies to just really heal up, get away from the game for a couple days and everything, get your mind right so we can come back and make this run," Wentz said.Tate could help the offense get in sync. He has more time to learn the playbook because the team is on a break."I want to do whatever's going to help this team win Sam Martin Jersey ," Tate said. "When the ball is in my hand, I want to be able to make a play."Tate has made plenty of plays throughout his 8陆 seasons in the league. He has more yards after catch (3,910) than anyone else since 2010. He gives coach Doug Pederson flexibility to move guys around and perhaps put Nelson Agholor back in the slot where he thrived in 2017."He's a tremendously productive player," Roseman said. "His run-after-the-catch numbers are phenomenal. We're really excited to get him."The Eagles are now better equipped to win shootouts if their defense doesn't perform up to expectations. Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz's unit struggled against the pass and allowed several fourth-down conversions in important situations in a couple of losses when a stop would've given the team a win."We have to score more points," Pederson said. "We have to get better. Hopefully we get some guys back healthy. We know our division. We have five division (games) in the next eight weeks, so that's a challenge, but everything is right in front of us."Some of the issues on defense have been surprising. The line was supposed to be a major strength, but the front four isn't getting enough pressure. Brandon Graham only has 1陆 sacks and Derek Barnett had season-ending shoulder surgery. The secondary has been a problem, too. Safety Rodney McLeod went down with a knee injury and starting cornerbacks Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby have given up too many big plays.Pro Football Focus proposes 4 different trades for Lions At 1-3, the Detroit Lions are in need of some desperate help, both in the short term and the long. While they’re getting good production on some of their young players, there are plenty of holes to fill on a roster in flux—especially with a new Quandre Diggs Jersey , struggling defensive unit.Trades in the NFL aren’t all that common, and Lions general manager Bob Quinn hasn’t been involved in really any blockbuster trades since taking the job, but it’s always fun to dream. Thankfully, Pro Football Focus put together trades they’d like to see for all 32 franchises. Lucky for us, four total trades involve a Detroit Lions player. Let’s take a look at each one individually.Lions trade Golden Tate to Jaguars for fourth-round pickEarlier this week, our own Kyle Yost played with the unpopular idea of trading Tate. He lays out a pretty solid argument here, but concludes that the compensation should be closer to a second or third-round pick. “A first-rounder is very unlikely, but a second-round pick seems right within his range, and would be a clear improvement over a compensatory selection the Lions would get for not trading him,” Yost wrote. This doesn’t seem like great value for the Lions, who have made Tate the centerpiece of their offense for the past few years, but maybe this is closer to what he would actually get on the market?Lions trade Ameer Abdullah to Eagles for seventh-round pickAmeer Abdullah has spent the first four weeks of the season on the Lions’ inactive list Glover Quin Jersey , well behind Kerryon Johnson, LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick—all of which have played significant roles in Detroit’s offense thus far.It does feel like Abdullah is wasted potential on the sidelines every week, but he also provides solid injury insurance should the Lions backfield get dinged up. Again, the question here is compensation. It’s hard to think a player like Abdullah would garner anything more than a seventh-round pick given his status this year, but would that be worth it for Detroit? Is a seventh-round pick worth losing that insurance? On the other hand, it’s quite possible that the Lions end up losing Abdullah next season without getting anything—even a compensatory pick—in return.Lions trade Teez Tabor for Saints EDGE Trey HendricksonIn three of the Lions’ four games thus far, Teez Tabor has played four or fewer snaps. He couldn’t win the starting No. 2 cornerback job during camp, and he doesn’t seem to be progressing much. So with the Lions roster a little bloated in the secondary, PFF suggested adding some help where the Lions could really use it. Saints defensive end Trey Hendrickson was drafted a round after Tabor in the 2017 draft, and has similarly struggled to make an impact with New Orleans. But PFF thinks the two could use a change of scenery and both teams would benefit by adding to their biggest needs: “It’s no secret the Lions have had virtually no edge presence on passing downs this year, as no edge player with at least 20 snaps has an above average pass-rush grade this year,” PFF wrote. But Hendrickson wouldn’t exactly come in and immediately be the Lions’ best edge rusher. The 23-year-old was a healthy scratch last week http://www.lionscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-ricky-jean-francois-jersey , and has only played in one game in 2018. His rookie year, he made 12 game appearances (no starts) and tallied 13 tackles and 2.0 sacks. Last year, his PFF grade was a modest 71.6. Lions trade Ezekiel Ansah to Rams for a third-round pickLions fans have been eager to get rid of Ansah ever since he’s been to be cursed by the injury bug, but something tells me sending him to the Rams would trigger some nausea. Think about it: Ansah, Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald all on one defensive front, all of whom could have been together in Detroit had the 2014 draft gone a little differently. Still, a third-round pick may actually be pretty good deal for the Lions, considering his contract price and the unlikeliness that Ansah will be around in 2019. I’m not exactly sure how the Rams—who penny-pinched to eventually give Donald his contract extension—would fit Ansah’s contract into their salary cap (currently listed with $1.6 million in room), but if the Lions could get that kind of return, it may be worth it.What is your favorite of the four trades?

He only played 16 total snaps Cheap Kerryon Johnson Jersey , and it may have been even less had starter LeGarrette Blount not gotten benched/hurt. Blount did go down with an injury, but the teamlater said they didn’t have an injury to report for Blount. Based on my own observations, it looked like they were subbing in Johnson immediately, before they realized Blount was even hurt. On the play he was injured, Blount fumbled the ball—though officials rules his forward progress stopped. All of this is to say that I think Blount was simply benched, not injured, and it may mean more Johnson going forward. Good to see the offensive line finally play an entire game togeth—oh hell... Expectations were low for tight end Luke Willson after an underwhelming training camp. Apparently the coaches saw the same thing, as Willson played in just 14 snaps, the lowest of all four tight ends—tied with Michael Roberts, who has been just as big of a disappointment. In the past two years, Glover Quin has played 100 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in 67 of 80 games. Either his age is catching up with him or he’ll have a decreased role due to Quandre Diggs’ emergence T.J. Lang Jersey , but either way he just played 67 percent of snaps on Monday. After scratching A’Shawn, the Lions leaned heavily on their two veteran defensive tackles. Williams (age 29) and Francois (31) both played over 75 percent of snaps. I can’t imagine their bodies can withhold that kind of workload for an entire season. After Ziggy went down early, we mostly saw Kerry Hyder on the right edge. Not exactly a great situation for this defense to be in considering Hyder is coming off a torn Achilles. Special teamsSam Martin: 12 (38%)Don Muhlbach: 8 (25%)Matt Prater: 5 (16%) TENNESSEE TITANS (10-8)New faces: Coach Mike Vrabel, defensive coordinator Dean Pees, offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur, CB Malcolm Butler, RB Dion Lewis, G Kevin Pamphile, QB Blaine Gabbert, G Xavier Su'a-Filo, LB Will Compton Cheap Jarrad Davis Jersey , DL Bennie Logan, LB Rashaan Evans, LB Harold Landry, S Kendrick Lewis, S Kenny Vaccaro.Key losses: Coach Mike Mularkey, defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau, RB DeMarco Murray, QB Matt Cassel, DL Karl Klug, S Da'Norris Searcy, NT Sylvester Williams Cheap Kenny Golladay Jersey , strength coach Steve Watterson.Strengths: Defense ranked fourth in NFL against run, tied for fifth in sacks in helping Titans to first playoff berth since 2008. RB Derrick Henry led team in rushing despite only two starts. Titans had second-fewest penalties in league. QB Marcus Mariota missed only one game and led 18-point rally for first playoff victory in 14 years. Mariota also coming off first healthy offseason since entering NFL, with offense designed to fit his skills. Offensive line featuring two-time Pro Bowl LT Taylor Lewan returns all five starters, though RT Jack Conklin is coming off torn ACL. WR Corey Davis coming off healthy offseason, and three-time Pro Bowl TE Delanie Walker is back, with TE Jonnu Smith poised for better second season.Weaknesses: Veteran WR Rishard Matthew has been on physically unable to perform list all preseason. Aside from Matthews and Davis, rest of receiving corps is very young and untested. Evans was hurt in opening days of training camp. Secondary lost starting S Johnathan Cyprien in camp to torn ACL with two other key backups also on injured reserve.Fantasy Players To Watch: Davis. The fifth overall draft pick in 2017 flashed his big play potential in his injury-plagued rookie season. He has been healthy and worked with Mariota most of offseason.Vegas Says: Super Bowl 52-1. Over/under wins 8.Expectations: Titans want much more after consecutive 9-7 seasons, including sweep of AFC South champion Jacksonville last season and winning wild-card game at Kansas City. Firing Mularkey and hiring Vrabel was made to get most out of Mariota in his fourth season. Titans bolstered secondary adding Butler to CBs Logan Ryan and Adoree Jackson and All-Pro S Kevin Byard. This is 20th season since franchise debuted Titans nickname, which ended in team's lone Super Bowl berth in Atlanta, where next Super Bowl will be played.

Can any of the Cardinals’ coaches http://www.cardinalscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-markus-golden-jersey , especially head coach Steve Wilks, who preaches and demands “physicality,” look any of us fans in the eyes and say that CB Brandon Williams is a better roster fit than FB/RB Elijhaa Penny? You see, this pre-season was cruising along to the tune of Steve Wilks’ lyrics about DNA and physicality and leaping hurdles—-and now suddenly this week—-with GM Steve Keim back on the scene—-some of the same-old same-old is creeping back into the decision making.Steve Wilks has said repeatedly that the Cardinals’ top priority on offense is to run the ball down the opponents’ throats. In the pre-season, from the very first offensive snap we saw a full-scale commitment to the running game. David Johnson was banging out 10 yard runs, behind a revitalized offensive line led by the return of LG Mike iupati. Then we saw the diminutive Chase Edmonds, crawl and slide with his arms to one of the more improbable 4th and goal from the 2 yardline TDs one could ever imagine. There was the much celebrated return of the fullback to the Cardinals’ attack. Free agent FB Derrick Coleman showed surprising athleticism—-which is great—-but when you compare Coleman’s blocks to recently released FB Elijhaa Penny’s, Penny’s were superior. Finally, in the last pre-season game, we had the chance to see a power running game, with Penny carrying the ball. This was right in line with what Steve Wilks has been preaching for three months, right?Come roster cuts—-Penny is out the door—-and now has a chance to be claimed by the Seattle Seahawks where he can block and run next to his brother. In Seattle Cheap Larry Fitzgerald Jersey , they value the power running game and recruit for it.But, wait—-Brandon Williams is a stalwart on special teams, right? Really? How many times this pre-season did you sit up and notice Williams on special teams? In comparison, how many times did you notice Rudy Ford, Dennis Gardeck, Zeke Turner, Deatrich Nichols, A.J. Howard and Trent Sherfield? The coup de grace was listening to Ron Wolfley and Paul Calvisi explain why Brandon Williams’ speed on STs helps others make the tackles. Is that how desperate the Cardinals are to find a way to postpone the reality that drafting a one-year college CB in the third round while bypassing the likes of DB Justin Simmons (Broncos) and QB Dak Prescott (Cowboys) was a colossal error in judgement?By releasing Penny on the aftermath of losing D.J. Foster to the IR, the Cardinals now have only 4 RBs on the roster. Either today through waivers, or some day in the near future, the Cardinals are going to have to add another RB to the mix. The Cardinals are playing the Redskins in week one. How satisfying was it last year to see Elijhaa Penny run 10 times for 45 yards and a TD—-but, even better Corey Peters Jersey , to watch him run over D.J., Swearinger and knock him on his keister twice! It is getting harder and harder to imagine Wilks’ Cardinals running the ball down the opponents’ throats with David Johnson, two diminutive scat-backs in ChaseEdmonds and T.J. Logan and a fast, but not very physical FB in Derrick Coleman. Elijhaa Penny was the right compliment to all of these players—-except, obviously, in the minds of Steve Keim and Steve Wilks?Plus, who would you rather have on special teams with the game on the line—-Penny or Williams? Last year, Budda Baker was 3rd in the NFL with 16 STs tackles. Elijhaa Penny was 21st in the NFL with 11 STs tackles. Guess who is a no-show on that list? The larger ramification of releasing the team’s most rugged, punishing RB not named Johnson and its 2nd leading tackler on STs, is the demoralizing thought that suddenly with the Steve Wilks—-some of the words and the music are no longer matching. By every indication, Steve Wilks seems like a stand-up guy who means what he says and acts on it. You know—-a guy who talks-the-talk and walks-the-walk. Seeing as how smoothly things were going before Steve Keim returned—-it feels like we have an imposing, overzealous GM who does not fully understand the mission of the new head coach. Moreover Josh Bynes Jersey , it feels like we have a GM who is backing his new head coach into a corner. If that is indeed the case, we can only hope that Steve Wilks strikes back and strikes back hard.Bird Droppings: A.Q.
